NTE Beginner's Guide (2026)

Neverness to Everness is an urban fantasy open-world RPG set in the supernatural city of Hethereau. As a new Resonator, you'll navigate a rich story, fast-paced combat, and multiple progression systems. This guide covers the essential early-game strategies to help you start strong.

Your first priority should be progressing the main story quests. They unlock critical features including domains for farming materials, character ascension, and daily activities. The story also provides your first free characters and enough resources to build a starter team. Don't rush to explore everything immediately - many areas and mechanics unlock through story progression.

Like most gacha games, NTE has limited daily stamina (Fons/energy). Use it wisely:

Priority 1: Character ascension materials - your DPS needs these to level up
Priority 2: Talent/ability upgrade materials
Priority 3: Weapon ascension materials
Priority 4: Credit/Gold farming (as needed)

Avoid farming artifacts/Echoes heavily before reaching higher account levels - you'll replace them with better drops later.

Early resources are scarce. Focus your materials on a single team of 3-4 characters rather than spreading them across your entire roster. A typical NTE team consists of:

Main DPS - Your primary damage dealer who stays on field
Sub-DPS - Quick-swap character for off-field damage or buff application
Support/Healer - Provides healing, shields, or damage amplification

Your starter characters can carry you through early content. Save your premium currency (Annulith) for limited banners once you understand which characters fit your playstyle. Check our Tier List for current meta recommendations.

NTE's Echo system functions like artifacts in other gacha games - they provide the bulk of your character's stats through set bonuses and main/sub stats.

• Early game: use any Echoes with correct main stats and set bonuses
• Mid game (after account level 40+): start farming for optimal stats
• Don't upgrade low-rarity Echoes past level 10 - save resources for gold Echoes
• Each character needs a specific set - check our Echo Database for detailed recommendations

Once established, here's your daily loop:

• Spend your stamina on priority materials
• Complete daily missions for premium currency and account XP
• Check events - limited-time events give valuable resources
• Open world chests while exploring for extra materials
• Redeem active codes before they expire
