Frequently Asked Questions
How does the pity system work?
NTE uses a 50/50 pity system for limited banners. Your first 5-star pull has a 50% chance of being the featured character. If you lose the 50/50, your next 5-star is guaranteed to be the featured character. Soft pity starts at 65 pulls, with hard pity at 80 pulls.
How many pulls does it take to guarantee a character?
Worst case: 160 pulls (lose 50/50 at hard pity, then win guaranteed at hard pity). Average case: 80-100 pulls. With monthly pass and daily play, free-to-play players can save approximately 60-80 pulls per patch.
Should I pull on the weapon banner?
Only if you have spare currency after securing the characters you want. Weapon banners have worse pity value than character banners. Signature weapons provide 15-25% damage improvement but are not required for clearing content.
What is the best pull strategy for new players?
1) Pull Beginner Banner for guaranteed 5-star within 50 pulls. 2) Save for Sakiri (universal support). 3) Pull the next limited DPS that fits your team. 4) Avoid weapon banners until you have a solid character roster. 5) Never pull on standard banner with premium currency.
